Prohibitory order in force in Kolhapur till Dec 22

Kolhapur, Dec 9 (UNI) In order to maintain law and order in the district, a prohibitory order has been issued by the district administration under Sections 37 (1) (a) to (f) and 37 (3) of the Maharashtra Police Act 1951 from 6 am on December 10 to 12 midnight on December 22 in the entire district.
This order will not apply to government officers and employees who, in the performance of their duties and powers and in the course of their work, have to handle specified items and assemble together and to persons who have obtained permission from the Superintendent of Police, the concerned Sub-Divisional Police Officer or the Police Inspector of the concerned Department or the competent authority, as well as to the public gathering to peacefully celebrate festivals/festivals/anniversaries/yatras of all castes and religions, as well as to marriages, other religious ceremonies, yatras, festivals, funeral processions.
