Prof CR Rao knowledge-advancing guides scientific investigation: Ex Vice Prez Naidu

Hyderabad, Sep 10 (UNI) Former Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday said that Padma Vibhushan Prof. C R Rao’s dedication to advancing knowledge through precision and statistical rigour remains a guiding force in scientific inquiry and decision-making.
Participating at the unveiling ceremony of the bust of Prof. C. R. Rao on his 104th birth anniversary held at the Ramanujan Building at the C. R. Rao Advanced Institute of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science (AIMSCS), University of Hyderabad (UoH) here, Naidu said, “Let us strive to follow his legacy of simplicity, commitment, and brilliance.”
Today, we gather to honour and celebrate the extraordinary contributions of Prof. C.R. Rao, a towering figure in the world of statistics. Naidu said that Prof. Rao’s remarkable ability to distil complex statistical concepts into practical insights left a lasting impact across multiple disciplines.
