Pro-Pak media accounts' claims about Lt Gen Suchindra false: Govt

New Delhi, Apr 30 (UNI) The government on Wednesday refuted the claims made by some Pakistan-backed social media accounts that Army's Northern Command Commander Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar has been removed from his post after the Pahalgam terror attack.
The Press Information Bureau (PIB) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in a post on social media platform X said, “Several pro-Pakistan social media accounts falsely claim that Northern Commander Lt Gen Suchindra Kumar has been removed from his post after the Pahalgam incident”.
The PIB further said that Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar has not been removed but is attaining superannuation on April 30 and Lt Gen Pratik Sharma has been appointed as the new Northern Army Commander in his place.
The PIB on Tuesday on its X handle had said that several Pakistan-backed social media accounts have been deliberately circulating false and misleading propaganda following the Pahalgam terror attack.
