PRIME Meghalaya showcases innovative startups at Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit

Shillong/Coimbatore, Oct 10 (UNI) PRIME Meghalaya is participating in the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit 2025, leading a vibrant delegation of 10 entrepreneurs representing Meghalaya’s growing startup ecosystem.

The delegation showcased ventures from Technology, Handicrafts, Textiles, Health, Manufacturing and Tourism reflecting the state’s entrepreneurial diversity and creative strength.

Organised by StartupTN, the Summit brought together global investors, business leaders, policymakers and innovators to explore new opportunities for collaboration and growth.

The event served as a dynamic platform for cross-state and international networking, innovation exchange and investment facilitation.

Representing Meghalaya’s thriving entrepreneurial spirit, the startups under PRIME Meghalaya the State Government’s flagship initiative for entrepreneurship development engaged in exhibitions, B2B meetings and networking sessions with national and international delegates.

Each showcased the state’s unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation.

With over 30,000 attendees, 750 startups, and 100 investors, #TNGSS2025 stands as South India’s biggest platform for innovation and entrepreneurship.

PRIME Meghalaya is thrilled to showcase the spirit of Meghalaya’s entrepreneurs on this national stage.

“Our participation at the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit demonstrates Meghalaya’s readiness to connect, collaborate and compete on national and global platforms. PRIME is proud to enable our entrepreneurs to gain exposure, partnerships and new market linkages,” Executive Director, PRIME Meghalaya, Saloni Verma said.

Rudolf Mawthoh Co-founder of Solipsis, an entrepreneur representing PRIME Meghalaya at the TNGSS said, “Being here at the StartupTN global summit has helped me in ways that I cannot imagine. The participating startups represented a range of innovative solutions from sustainable handicrafts and eco-textiles to digital health innovations, smart manufacturing and technology-driven tourism experiences.

Their inclusion in this national platform reinforces PRIME Meghalaya’s mission to empower local entrepreneurs and position Meghalaya as an emerging hub for inclusive, sustainable enterprise, the official said.

Through such national engagements, PRIME continues to strengthen Meghalaya’s presence in the wider Indian startup ecosystem, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange between states and sectors.

Singareni’s 800 MW Ultra Supercritical Thermal Power Project coming up in Mancherial

Hyderabad, Nov 9 (UNI) The foundation stone for the upcoming 800 MW Ultra Supercritical Thermal Power Project at the existing Singareni Thermal Power Plant (STPP) premises in Jaipur, Mancherial district of Telangana, is expected to be laid soon.

Singareni launches free accidental insurance scheme to its employees & contract workers

Hyderabad, Nov 8 (UNI) Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director N. Balram today stated that the free accident insurance scheme, launched for the first time in the country for Singareni employees and contract workers with the cooperation of government and private sector banks as per the directions of the State Government, has become a model for the entire nation.
He said that both the Central and State Governments are now taking steps to implement this scheme in their respective organizations.

Adani Kutch Copper inks deal with caravel for Australian project

Mumbai, Nov 7 (UNI) Adani Group's Kutch Copper Ltd has officially announced that it has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Australia's Caravel Minerals Ltd to collaborate on the latter's copper project in Western Australia. According to the deal, Adani-owned Kutch Copper will have the first rights to participate at the project-level or as direct equity investments during the MoU term.
