More News09 Nov 2025 | 10:14 PMShillong, Nov 9 (UNI) The North-Eastern Hill University Teachers’ Association (NEHUTA) has sought the Ministry of Education’s intervention to stop Vice-Chancellor Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla from chairing varsity’s 193rd Executive Council (EC) meeting in New Delhi on November 14.
In a letter to Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sumarbin Umdor, the NEHUTA President Lakhon Kma voiced “strong opposition” to conducting the meeting outside the Shillong campus, terming the decision a “blatant violation” of the university’s norms and the Ministry of Education’s directive.
