President Murmu approves Gallantry awards to 93 Armed & CAP forces personnel; 11 posthumous

New Delhi, Jan 25 (UNI) On the eve of 76th Republic Day, President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday approved Gallantry awards to 93 Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces personnel, including 11 posthumous.
The awards include two Kirti Chakras, including one posthumous; 14 Shaurya Chakras, including three posthumous; one Bar to Sena Medal (Gallantry); 66 Sena Medals, including seven posthumous; two Nao Sena Medal (Gallantry) and eight Vayu Sena Medals (Gallantry), a Defence Ministry statement said.
Kirti Chakras have been awarded to Major Manjit, Punjab 22 RR and Naik Dilwar Khan, Arty, 28 RR (Posthumous).
The Shaurya Chakra awardees include Major Ashish Dahiya, Engrs, 50 RR; Maj. Kunal, ASC, 1 RR; Maj Satender Dhankar, Armd, 4 RR; Capt. Deepak Singh, Sigs, 48 RR (Posthumous); Asstt Commandant Eshenthung Kikon, 4 Assam Rifle; Subedar Vikas Tomar, 1 Para (SF); Sub. Mohan Ram, 20 Jat; Hav. Rohit Kumar, Dogra, Haws (Posthumous); Hav. Prakash Tamang, 9 GR, 32 RR; Flight Lieutenant Aman Singh Hans (36412), Flying (Pilot) IAF; Corporal Dabhi Sanjay Hiffabai Essa, IAF; OEM Gde-1 Vijayan Kutty G (Posthumous) BRDB; Vikrant Kumar, Dy Commandant, CRPF and Jeffrey Hmingchullo, Inspector, CRPF.
The President also approved 305 defence decorations to Armed Forces and other personnel. These include 30 Param Vishisht Seva Medals; five Uttam Yudh Seva Medals; 57 Ati Vishisht Seva Medals; 10 Yudh Seva Medals; one Bar to Sena Medals (Devotion to Duty); 43 Sena Medals (Devotion to Duty); eight Nao Sena Medals (Devotion to Duty); 15 Vayu Sena Medals (Devotion to Duty); four Bar to Vishisht Seva Medal and 132 Vishisht Seva Medals.
The Bar to Sena Medal (Gallantry) has been conferred on Lt. Col KH Shem, 20 Jat.
A total of 66 personnel from the Army have been conferred with Sena Medal, including seven posthumously.
Two Indian Navy personnel have been awarded the Nao Sena Medal (Gallantry), eight Indian Air Force personnel with Vayu Sena Medal (Gallantry), 30 Armed Forces personnel have been awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal.
Besides, five Armed Forces personnel have been conferred with Uttam Yudh Seva Medal; 57 personnel with Ati Vishisht Seva Medal; 10 personnel with Yudh Seva Medal; one official with Bar to Sena Medal (Devotion to Duty); 43 personnel with Sena Medal (Devotion to Duty); eight with Nao Sena (Devotion to Duty); 15 with Vayu Sena Medal (Devotion to Duty); four Bar to Vishisht Seva Medal; and 132 personnel with Vishisht Seva Medal.
