Prem Mane to protest in front of Mantralaya from tomorrow

Pune Oct 5 (UNI) A renowned painter Prem Mane, who has painted portraits of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today threatened to hold a semi-nude protest in front of the Mantralaya in Mumbai along with a painting of Prime Minister Modi from tomorrow.
Mane said the protest aims to demand action against officials who have failed to implement the Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India) scheme initiated by Prime Minister Modi, sanction of a loan under the same scheme to revive his business, and an explanation as to why the government and political leaders have ignored him for the past five years.
Mane warned that if Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also fails to take notice, then the government and political leaders will be held responsible for his suicide. Mane further said that he had submitted a 35-page memorandum to the Pune District Collector in 2024 regarding these issues, but no action has been taken to date.
