Pradyot calls for Tiprasa (tribal) rule in Tripura

Agartala, Jan 22 (UNI) Ruling BJP’s ally in Tripura government, TIPRA Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, restated the call for 'Tiprasa (tribal) Rule' in Tripura during a public meeting at Manu in Dhalai district on Wednesday triggered serious discontent among communities.
Debbarman emphasised the importance of unity among indigenous communities in the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections scheduled for April, while accepting more than 1300 voters of different political parties in TIPRA Motha’s fold.
He highlighted the historical impact of divisions among indigenous groups on their political strength and the development in tribal areas, urging different communities to unite beyond ethnic differences for the protection of their collective rights and future.
