Prabhas-starrer ‘Spirit’ sets release date for March 2027

New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) After months of anticipation and speculation, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-awaited film ‘Spirit’, starring Prabhas, has officially locked its release date.
The director took to X on Friday evening to announce that the film will hit theatres on March 5, 2027.
The announcement comes on the heels of the film’s first-look poster, which was unveiled on New Year’s Day, featuring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri. Shared earlier by Prabhas himself, the poster quickly went viral across social media.
In the striking first-look, Prabhas is seen shirtless with his back to the camera, sporting visible bruises and wounds, with bandages tied around his shoulders, back, and hands.
His long hair, thick beard, and moustache led many fans to compare his rugged look to Ranbir Kapoor from Vanga’s previous film Animal.
Triptii Dimri also features in the poster, holding a glass in her hands. Prabhas captioned the image, “Here’s the first poster of Spirit.”
The film also stars Vivek Oberoi in a pivotal role and is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series in collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures.
Earlier, on Prabhas’s birthday in October 2025, Vanga released the film’s audio teaser in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, confirming that Prakash Raj and Vivek Oberoi are part of the cast.
Originally, Deepika Padukone was slated to play the female lead. However, due to scheduling conflicts, she exited the project, paving the way for Triptii Dimri to take on the role.
