Ppl fighting polls against those who come with false guarantees: Akhilesh

Deoria (UP), May 28 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday said with the seventh phase of Lok Sabha polling approaching, the public's anger against those who give false guarantees is at its peak and it itself is fighting the elections against them.
Addressing a joint public meeting with former Congress president Rahul Gandhi in support of INDI alliance candidate Sadal Prasad from Bansgaon Lok Sabha constituency and Akhilesh Pratap Singh from Deoria Lok Sabha constituency, Akhilesh said that on one side there are people who want to destroy the Constitution and on the other side there are Samajwadis and INDI alliance who want to save the Constitution.
He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government gave unemployment, inflation and injustice.

Ludhiana, Jun 13 (UNI) BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh today came down heavily on Punjab's Bhagwant Mann government, berating its "unconstitutional and anti-farmer policies" including the land pooling scheme and demanded it be withdrawn immediately.

During his campaign for the Ludhiana West Assembly bypoll, Chugh met farmer delegations, especially from 37 villages affected by the land pooling scheme. He was handed a detailed memorandum by the farmers, seeking urgent intervention and protection of their land rights.
