Ponnam clarifies remarks on Bandi Sanjay’s son case, says focus was on justice for victim

Hyderabad, May 12 (UNI) Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Tuesday clarified that his recent remarks regarding the case involving union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s son were aimed solely at ensuring justice for the victim and had been distorted.
In a video statement released on Tuesday, Ponnam said he had only stated that Bandi Sanjay should face an inquiry and prove his innocence in connection with the case. Referring to allegations by some Munnuru Kapu associations that the Congress was acting out of political vendetta, the Minister pointed out that the victim herself belongs to the same community.
He acknowledged using strong rhetoric during his earlier remarks, including the phrase “do whatever you can,” but maintained that his intention was only to ensure justice for the victim. “There is absolutely no room for compromise when it comes to securing justice for her,” he said.
