Police secured convictions in three different cases against four accused

Srinagar, Feb 17 (UNI) Police have secured convictions in three different cases against four accused persons involved in a rape case, Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) case and an NDPS case in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Police said a conviction was obtained against Mohammad Saleem Taploo of Anchar Soura at present SaidPora, Eidgah Srinagar, for offences under section 363 RPC and Section 4 of POCSO against a minor survivor.
The court convicted the accused for both the offences with the quantum of punishment being rigorous imprisonment for a term of seven years and a fine of Rs 25,000 for kidnapping which would run separately with a rigorous imprisonment for a term of 20 years and a fine of Rs 50,000 for the offences against POCSO.
