Police raid European Parliament offices in Russian interference investigation - Reports

Moscow, May 29 (UNI) Police raided European Parliament offices in Belgium's Brussels and France's Strasbourg on Wednesday on suspicion that a staffer helped promote what federal Belgian prosecutors described as "Russian interference."
"These searches are part of a case of interference, passive corruption and participation in a criminal organization related to indications of Russian interference," the prosecutor’s office said in a statement quoted by multiple Belgian media.
The Belgian judiciary alleged that members of the European Parliament, which has its seat in Strasbourg, were "approached and paid to promote Russian propaganda" via Voice of Europe, an English-language news website that the EU accused last week of pushing pro-Russian narratives.
