Police in Srinagar host students for guided tour of police stations

Srinagar, Oct 9 (UNI) As part of its ongoing public outreach and awareness campaign, Police in Srinagar district today organized a guided visit for school and college students to various police stations, aiming to foster stronger police-public relations and give youngsters an insight into police functioning.
Police said these visits were conducted in Police Stations Shaheedganj, Batmaloo, Karannagar, Zadibal, Kothibagh, Harwan, Nowgam and Panthachowk, where the concerned Station House Officers facilitated a guided tour of the students within the Police Stations highlighting the significance of grassroot policing.
During the visit, the students were briefed about the registration of FIRs, maintenance of records, investigation procedures, and the role of CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems) in modern policing, a police statement said.
