Police in J&K’s Baramulla seize Rs 1 crore heroin, arrest two peddlers

Srinagar, Dec 9 (UNI) Police in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir arrested two alleged drug peddlers, including a woman, and recovered 964 grams of heroin-like substance, valued at nearly Rs 1 crore, officials said on Tuesday.
The contraband was seized on Monday evening near the parking area of Government Medical College Baramulla.
Police said they carried out a targeted operation near GMC Baramulla parking area at around 7 pm and two suspicious individuals, identified as Sobiya Bano,29, and Tahir Ahmad Khan, 26, both residents of Trikanjan, Boniyar Uri were intercepted.
