Police crack down on Ganja trafficking in Gumla, four arrested with 132 Kg seizure

Gumla, Jan 18 (UNI): The Gumla Police have busted a ganja smuggling racket in Gumla district and seized 132.10 kilograms of ganja. The contraband was being transported in two vehicles, including a black Hyundai car and a white Scorpio-II. Four smugglers have been arrested in connection with the case.
According to police officials, the Superintendent of Police, Gumla, received confidential information that ganja was being smuggled through the Palkot police station area. Acting swiftly on the tip-off, a police team set up a check-post near the forest area of Datli Dumpul under the Palkot police station limits and began vehicle inspections.
During the operation, two suspicious vehicles were intercepted. On questioning, the occupants admitted to carrying ganja. A thorough search of the vehicles led to the recovery of a total of 132 kgs and 10 grams of ganja.

Meghalaya assembly Speaker disallows adjournment motion on coal mine blast
