Dhaka, Dec 8 (UNI) Police in Dhaka barred the march towards the Indian High Commission organised by three affiliated bodies of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in the capital’s Rampura area on Sunday, a day ahead of the visit by Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri.
Later, representatives of the three organisations submitted a memorandum to the Indian High Commission. Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is to visit Dhaka tomorrow for holding the Foreign Office Consultations.
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party march was in protest against the attacks on the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala, Tripura earlier this week and the burning of the national flag by a Hindutva outfit.
