PM pays homage to Pingali Venkayya on birth anniversary

New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid tribute to Pingali Venkayya on his birth anniversary, recalling his contribution in designing the Indian National Flag — the Tricolour, a symbol of the nation’s pride and unity.
In a message shared on the social media platform X, the Prime Minister urged citizens to bolster the ongoing #HarGharTiranga movement by hoisting the Tricolour at their homes. He encouraged people to upload selfies or photographs with the national flag on the official portal harghartiranga.com, reinforcing the spirit of patriotism.
“Tributes to Pingali Venkayya Ji on his birth anniversary. He is remembered for his role in giving us the Tricolour, which is our pride! Like always, let’s strengthen #HarGharTiranga movement and fly the Tricolour. Do upload your selfie or photos on harghartiranga.com,” Modi stated.

SC issues notice on plea seeking national database for advocates, social media conduct rules
