PM must keep his word Assembly election, restoring statehood: NC

Srinagar, June 21 (UNI) National Conference leaders and newly elected Members of the Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmad and Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on Friday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to keep his word on holding Assembly election, restoring statehood, and bridging development gaps in Jammu and Kashmir with concrete action.

The Prime Minister on Thursday said in Srinagar that preparations for Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir have begun, and that statehood would soon be returned to the Union Territory.
