PM Modi leads 'Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas' celebrations, pays homage to tribal icon 'Birsa Munda'

New Delhi, Nov 15 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi took took centerstage on Saturday in the spirited celebrations of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of the revered tribal leader, Birsa Munda.
The day’s events were highlighted by Modi’s special visit to the Devmogra Temple in Gujarat, where he performed pooja and sought blessings for the health and prosperity of all Indians.
Devmogra Mata is a revered deity for the indigenous tribal communities (including the Tadavi Bhil and Vasava tribes) residing in the Satpura mountain range across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The main and ancient temple is located in Devmogra village, Sagbara taluka, Narmada district, Gujarat, near the city of Rajpipla. The goddess is worshipped as Kani-Kansari, the eternal provider of grains and prosperity.
