PM Modi lays foundation for Eklavya Model Residential School in Meghalaya

Ampati, Nov 14 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday digitally laid the foundation stone for construction of the Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) at Chopapara village in Meghalaya.
The EMRS at Chopapara village under Zikzak Community and Rural Development Block in South West Garo Hills district, is one of the 50 new EMRS worth over Rs.2,320 crore to be constructed.
The Prime Minister also virtually inaugurated 42 Eklavya Model Residential Schools worth Rs.1,900 crore.

Bhubaneswar, Dec 15 (UNI) A confederation labour rights’ bodies has opposed the proposed Viksit Bharat - Guarantee For Rozgar And Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Bill, 2025 (VB-G RAM G) that seeks to repeal the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 (MGNREGA) saying that “it strikes at the core of social and economic justice by shifting power away from workers, Gram Sabhas, and States into the hands of the union Government”.
