Bengaluru, May 18 (UNI) Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) Member of Parliament HD Deve Gowda received warm birthday greetings from political leaders across the spectrum on Sunday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the wishes, lauding him for his statesmanlike approach and lifelong commitment to public service.
"Birthday wishes to our former Prime Minister, Shri HD Deve Gowda Ji. He is widely respected for his statesmanlike approach and passion towards public service. His wisdom and insights on several issues are a source of great strength. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life," the Prime Minister posted on social media platform X.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also took to social media to extend his greetings, calling Deve Gowda a senior statesman who has rendered immense service to the country and the state. "Heartfelt birthday greetings to former Prime Minister Shri HD Deve Gowda avaru. May he be blessed with good health, long life, and continued service to the people," he said.
