PM Modi hails Indian Women’s cricket team for historic World Cup triumph

New Delhi, Nov 6 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the Indian Women’s Cricket team at his residence to congratulate them on their historic World Cup triumph, three days after their historic triumph in the ICC Women’s World Cup.
During the interaction, PM Modi lauded the players for making the country proud and described their achievement as a moment of national joy.
"You all have done a very big job,” the PM said. “In India, cricket is not just a game; it has become the life of the people. If everything goes well in cricket, the entire country feels good, but if there is anything wrong in cricket, the entire country shakes."
