PM Modi greets Vijay for taking oath as CM, promises to work with TN govt to improve people's lives

Chennai, May 10 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted TVK Founder and actor-politician C Joseph Vijay for taking oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and promised that the Centre would work with the State government in improving the lives of the people.
In a social media post, Mr Modi wrote "Congratulations to Thiru C. Joseph Vijay on taking oath as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. Best wishes for his tenure ahead".
"The Central Government will keep working with the Tamil Nadu Government to improve the lives of people", he added.
Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi flew down to Chennai to take part in the swearing in ceremony of Vijay and was seated next to him.
Immediately after the event, the Indian National Congress's X handle shared a video of Rahul Gandhi and Vijay sharing stage at the swearing-in ceremony of the new Tamil Nadu government, captioned: "Jannayak Thalapathy".
