PM Modi congratulates Indian Men's Jr Hockey team on historic Bronze medal win

New Delhi, Dec 11 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated the Indian Men's Junior Hockey Team on securing their first-ever bronze medal at the FIH Hockey Men's Junior World Cup 2025 in Chennai. The team staged a remarkable comeback, defeating Argentina 4-2 after trailing 2-0 at halftime.
"Congratulations to our Men's Junior Hockey Team on scripting history at the FIH Hockey Men's Junior World Cup 2025! Our young and spirited team has secured India's first-ever Bronze medal at this prestigious tournament. This incredible achievement inspires countless youngsters across the nation," PM Modi said in a post on handle X.
The Indian team, led by Rohit, showed resilience and determination to overturn the deficit, scoring four goals in the final quarter. Ankit Pal, Manmeet Singh, Shardanand Tiwari, and Anmol Ekka scored the goals for India.
