PM Modi calls cultural De-colonization key to India's growth surge, sets 10-year deadline to eradicate 'Colonial Mindset'

New Delhi, Dec 6 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday issued a powerful call for India to shed its colonial legacy and embrace a future fuelled by national confidence and holistic reform.
Delivering a potent address at the Leadership Summit 2025 of a national daily, the Prime Minister emphasized that cultural de-colonization is the foundational change driving India's rapid development. He set a specific 10-year deadline—coinciding with the 200th anniversary of Macaulay's education policy—to completely dismantle the 'mentality of slavery' rooted in the country's colonial past.
"We have to make the country rid of the colonial mindset from every corner," PM Modi asserted, laying out his vision: "I want to take the citizens forward with the vision for the next 10 years."

DGCA imposes Rs 22 20 cr penalty on IndiGo, orders removal of a senior official
