PM Modi arrives in Amman: Ceremonial welcome marks start of historic blateral visit

Amman/New Delhi, Dec 15 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday arrived in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan this afternoon, commencing his first full-fledged bilateral visit to the nation, a post on the social media from his office said.
Prime Minister Modi was warmly received, on arrival, by his Jordanian counterpart, Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, and accorded a grand ceremonial welcome. The official reception involved military honours, reflecting the respect and goodwill shared between the two nations.
The two-day visit (December 15-16) is a landmark event, as it is Prime Minister Modi’s first dedicated bilateral trip to Jordan, and the first by an Indian Prime Minister in nearly four decades. The timing is particularly symbolic, as it coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Jordan.
