Pilibhit Tiger photo wins award at Big Cats Photo event

Lucknow/New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) A photograph of a tiger from Pilibhit Tiger Reserve has won an award at the Global Big Cats Photography Competition held in New Delhi during the Wildlife Week.
The event saw over 1,400 entries from across the world, including 70 from Uttar Pradesh.
Photographer Jitendra Chaware received a cash prize and a four-day stay at Jagir Manor, Dudhwa.

Cyber Fraud: 80- year-old ex-UPPCL officer duped of Rs 47 Lakh in fake arrest scheme

Lucknow, Nov 16 (UNI) In a shocking case of cyber fraud, an 80-year-old retired Deputy General Manager of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) was defrauded of Rs 47 lakh after scammers held him under a fake “digital arrest” for two days. The fraudsters impersonated CBI officials, claiming he was involved in a money-laundering case, police said on Sunday.
