PIL in Calcutta HC seeking stay on notice of demolition in Narkeldanga

Kolkata, June 10 (UNI) A public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed in Calcutta High Court seeking a stay on the notice regarding demolition of alleged unauthorised structures at Narkeldanga by Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
The PIL has been filed before the Division bench of Chief Justice Sujoy Paul and Justice Partha Sarathi Sen by local residents of Narkeldanga. The petition hsd been admitted and is likely to be heard on Thursday.
According to the petition, there was an allegation that unauthorised structures had mushroomed at Kosaipara off Narkeldanga, following which the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has issued a demolition notice.
