KANNUR, JULY 13 (UNI):- Sreekandapuram police team inspecting the unearthed treasure suspected like gold and silver coins by 18 member women NREGP workers, while digging rain pit to procure rain water in a rubber plantation at Parippayi near Sreekandapuram in Chengalayi Panchayat, on Friday. Sulochana led NREGP workers team unearthed, 17 pearl beads, 13 gold medallions (lockets), 4 medallions (believed to be a part of traditional necklace Kasumala), 5 ancient rings, a set of earrings and several silver coins, which was stored inside the copper vessel. On July 13 also they unearthed 2 gold beads and four silver coins while digging another rain pit in the same plot. UNI PHOTO-16U (With Story)
