Peter Navarro raises concerns over AI, farmland, and food inflation

Washington, Jan 18 (UNI) Former Trump trade advisor Peter Navarro has expressed concerns about American resources being used to support artificial intelligence operations abroad, farmland acquisitions, and water management, warning that these issues could have economic consequences for the United States.
Speaking in a recent interview with former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon on 'Real America Voice', Navarro questioned why Americans are effectively subsidising AI services for countries such as India and China, noting that ChatGPT and similar platforms operate on US electricity while serving large international users.
Highlighting issues with farmland acquisitions, he claimed some foreign entities are paying up to ten times market rates, and emphasised the need to address these trends to fight rising food inflation. “If we’re going to fight food inflation, we’ve got to wrap our heads around that,” Navarro said.
