Period thriller 'New England Toys' seals its cast

Los Angeles, Feb 9 (UNI) Writer-director Blaise Beyhan has assembled an impressive ensemble for his second feature film, "New England Toys", a period thriller headlined by Willa Fitzgerald and Ruby Cruz.
The support cast also includes, Paul Sparks (The Lowdown), Jason Schwartzman (Mountainhead), Jim Gaffigan (Linoleum), Jennifer Jason Leigh (Hateful Eight), Paul Fitzgerald (The Residence), Asa Germann (Scream 7), William Sadler (Our Cartoon President), Dylan Baker (Happiness), and Becky Ann Baker (Ted Lasso).
Plot details for New England Toys are being kept under wraps, though sources said the project is a period thriller.
Production is underway in Buffalo, New York, with Beyhan and Robby Gutmann producing and Fitzgerald executive producing, according to DEADLINE.
The film is Beyhan’s second on the heels of the forthcoming Callback, an adaptation of his short of the same name, which also stars Fitzergald and Germann.
Fitzgerald's profile has risen sharply since her critically lauded turn opposite Kyle Gallner in JT Mollner's psychological thriller "Strange Darling". In addition to "Callback", she’ll be seen coming up in the thriller "The Billion Dollar Spy" with Russell Crowe.
Cruz has been seen on shows like "Mare of Easttown", "The Sex Lives of College Girls" and "Willow", as well as in films like "The Threesome and Bottoms". Upcoming, she’ll be seen in the fifth season of Apple TV’s "For All Mankind" and in the indie comedy "Souvenir". UNI NST SSP
