Pannalal Surana to be felicitated with Shahu Purskar on June 26

Kolhapur, Jun 14 (UNI) Senior socialist leader, thinker and journalist, Pannalal Surana, will be conferred upon this year's prestigious Rajarshi Shahu Puraskar in award distribution function to be held on occasion of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Jayanti (birth anniversary) on June 26 at Shahu Smarak Bhavan here.
Making announcement at a press conference hereon Saturday, Amol Yedge, district collector and president of Shree Shahu Chhatrapati Memorial Trust (SSCMT), said that Surana has been selected for this year's prestigious Rajarshi Shahu Purskar on behalf of Shree Shahu Chhatrapati Memorial Trust.
He said that Surana, who was editor of daily Marathwada and participated in many agitations for peoples' burning issues, has been selected considering his work for affected and oppressed people.
