Panchayat funds are a constitutional right, not Congress charity: KTR

Hyderabad, Dec 16 (UNI) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) on Tuesday accused the Congress government of displaying “arrogance of power” and treating Panchayat funds as personal largesse.
He asserted that grants meant for Gram Panchayats and welfare schemes like Indiramma Houses are public funds guaranteed by the Constitution, not the charity of Congress MLAs.
Addressing a felicitation programme for newly elected Sarpanches, Upa-Sarpanches and ward members from Khanapur and Shadnagar constituencies at Telangana Bhavan, KTR strongly objected to what he termed as threats and intimidation by Congress legislators.
