Pakistan backs CICA on sustainable security in Asia

Islamabad, Aug 21 (UNI) Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Tuesday reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia's (CICA) vision for a common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security in Asia.
He made the remarks during a meeting with visiting CICA Secretary General Kairat Sarybay, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Dar emphasised the need for conflict prevention, addressing the root causes of regional disputes, and finding sustainable solutions for lasting peace and development in the CICA region, said the statement.
