Pak: Bilawal says any division of Punjab should first await resolution in assembly

Lahore, Dec 10 (UNI) Pakistan People's Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, speaking over the proposed division of Punjab province into North, Central and South Punjab, remarked that any such move to divide the province should first await a resolution in the Punjab Assembly before being implemented.
Commenting on the issue of carving out new provinces in the country, the ex-FM said "The senate commission had declared that south Punjab should be made a province. "First, reach a consensus to make south Punjab a province and then move forward," Bhutto remarked, and made no show of his scepticism over any such resolution being passed, stating that he "cannot even think of dividing Punjab".
"Before creating more provinces, create those where there is consensus on creating new provinces," the PPP chief noted.
