Pahalgam terror attack: Shillong citizens holds candlelight vigil in-front of Meghalaya Assembly

Shillong, Apr 27 (UNI) The Shillong Citizen’s Forum (SCF) held a candlelight here in Meghalaya on Sunday to pay tributes to the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Twenty-six people were killed and several others were injured as Pakistan-sponsored terrorists opened fire on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22.
Hundreds of people from all walks of life gathered in-front of the old Meghalaya Legislative Assembly at Khyndai Lad protesting the attack on tourists in Pahalgam, shouting anti-Pakistan slogans.

Meghalaya, leading state in healthcare investment, says CM

Jowai, May 21 (UNI) Meghalaya has emerged as one of the leading states in healthcare investment, with over 8 per cent of the annual state budget—more than Rs. 1,000 crore—dedicated to the health sector, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma said on Wednesday.
“The government is supporting not only state-run hospitals but also collaborating with church-run and non-profit hospitals,” he said after inaugurating the Hubert Rosario Road in Spein, Mookaswan, West Jaintia Hills district.
