Pahalgam attack is security lapse, intelligence failure: Akhilesh

Mainpuri (UP), Apr 25 (UNI) While praising the Indian army, Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Friday said that the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir is a security lapse and intelligence failure.
Talking to reporters after unveiling the statue of Shripal Yadav in Khiriya of Mainpuri, Akhilesh said, "Our army is very brave and no country in the world has such a brave army. The soldiers of our army are protecting the border in difficult conditions. On one hand, they protect the border in 50 degree temperature on the border, while on the other they protect the border in minus fifty degree temperature," he said.
He said, "But today it is being discussed that there is a shortage of more than one lakh soldiers in the army. Soldiers are not being recruited in the army. The government wants to save the budget. Similarly, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has brought the Agniveer system in the army. The government has brought Agniveer Yojana in the army to save the budget. The youth of the country wants a permanent uniform and a permanent job."
