PACS to strive for farmers welfare: Minister Subhash

Kakinada, July 16 (UNI) Minister for Labour Vasamsetti Subhash today said that the government was wedded to the welfare of the farmers and to help them the primary agricultural cooperative societies (PACS) are being strengthened.
Participating as the chief guest at the Draksharama PACS new governing body swearing in ceremony at Draksharamam, he said the PACS were ignored by the previous YSRCP regime and the alliance government was taking action to revitalize them.
In the 2024-2025 budget, the government has earmarked Rs 48,402 Crores for agriculture. The PACS will help farmers to improve financially.
