Over Rs 2,146 crore utilised in Himachal under central education schemes in three years

New Delhi, March 12 (UNI) Over Rs 2,146 crore has been spent in Himachal Pradesh under various central education schemes during the last three years, the Central Government informed the Rajya Sabha in response to a question raised by BJP Member of Parliament Harsh Mahajan.
The information was provided by union Minister of State for School Education and Literacy Jayant Chaudhary in a written reply, detailing the funds approved, released and utilized in the state under major centrally sponsored education programmes.
The question raised by Harsh Mahajan sought year-wise details of the funds sanctioned to Himachal Pradesh under different central education schemes over the past three financial years, along with information about the amount released by the Centre and the expenditure incurred by the state government.
