Over 240 cases registered for violating MCC: Delhi Police

New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) Over 240 cases for violating the model code of conduct have been registered since the Delhi Assembly elections schedule was announced on 7th January, Delhi Police said on Friday.
“Nearly 152 unlicensed arms and 110 cartridges have been seized. Drugs weighing over 62 kilograms, worth more than 14 crore rupees, and cash amounting to over Rs 1.8 crore were seized during this period,” the police said.
“Around 9,558 persons have been arrested under the provisions of preventive action and the Excise Act,” it added.
