Opposition slams Maha govt over Assembly scuffle; Allegations of Legislative passes being sold for Rs 5k-10k

Mumbai, July 18 (UNI) Serious allegations were raised in the Maharashtra Legislature today as NCP-SP state president Shashikant Shinde and Shiv Sena- UBT MLA Anil Parab claimed that entry passes to the Vidhan Bhavan were being sold for amounts ranging from Rs 5,000 to 10,000.
The issue surfaced a day after a violent scuffle broke out in the Vidhan Bhavan premises between BJP MLA Gopichand Padalkar’s supporters and those of NCP (SP) MLA Jitendra Awhad.
The incident drew strong condemnation from the Opposition, accusing the government of allowing lawlessness within the state’s top legislative body.
