Opposition questions Govt over selective action in Pune land case

Nagpur, Dec 4 (UNI) The Opposition has accused the Maharashtra government of taking selective action in the Pune land-scam case, alleging that while the land seller has been arrested, no action has been taken against the buyer.
Leader of Opposition Vijay Wadettiwar on Thursday questioned why the government has proceeded only against Sheetal Tejwani, who sold the disputed land in Pune , while avoiding any steps against Parth Pawar, who holds a 99 per cent stake in a media Company, the purchaser in the transaction.
“Action is limited to those who sold the land. Why is there no action against those who bought it? The government is protecting Parth Pawar. Because the Opposition is about to raise this issue in the winter session, the government has created a façade of action,” Wadettiwar alleged.
