New Delhi, Apr 9 (UNI) US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that only one group of meaningful 'POINTS' is acceptable to the United States and will be discussed behind closed doors during negotiations with Iran.
These are the points that are the basis on which both sides agreed to a ceasefire, he said without naming the points.
'It is something that is reasonable, and can easily be dispensed with,' he said.
'There is only one group of meaningful POINTS that are acceptable to the United States, and we will be discussing them behind closed doors during these Negotiations. These are the POINTS that are the basis on which we agreed to a CEASEFIRE,' Trump said on his social media platform.
He said numerous agreements, lists, and letters are being sent out by people who have absolutely nothing to do with the US-Iran negotiations.
'In many cases, they are total Fraudsters, Charlatans, and WORSE,' he said adding that they will be exposed after Federal Investigation is completed.
Trump once again attacked CNN saying it’s very much like Fake News CNN last night, headlining a “source” that had no power or authority to write a Letter claiming great authority.
'The Failing New York Times and Fake News CNN each reported a totally FAKE TEN POINT PLAN on the Iran negotiations which was meant to discredit the people involved in the peace process. All ten points were a made up HOAX - EVIL LOSERS.'
This is the second savage attack by Trump on CNN during the past two days.
CNN had quoted a statement issued by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) on Wednesday ahead of the ceasefire announcement which said 'Iran has achieved a massive victory and forced criminal America to accept its 10-point plan.'
The SNSC said Iran presented the 10-point plan to the US via Pakistan.
'It (the 10-point) Plan emphasized fundamental points such as controlled passage through the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with Iran’s armed forces (which grants Iran a unique economic and geopolitical position), necessity of ending the war against all components of the Axis of Resistance, withdrawal of U.S. combat forces from all bases and deployment points in the region, establishment of a secure transit protocol in the Strait of Hormuz such that it guarantees Iranian dominance according to the agreed protocol, full payment of Iran’s damages according to estimates, removal of all primary and secondary sanctions and resolutions of the Board of Governors and the Security Council, release of all blocked Iranian properties and assets abroad and approval of all these items in a binding Security Council resolution.
The approval of this resolution will turn all these agreements into binding international law and will create an important diplomatic victory for the nation of Iran, the SNSC said.
