One who puts his heart and soul into taking party forward will be successor: Mayawati

Lucknow, Feb 16 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Sunday said that in her lifetime only that person who is continuously working with full heart and soul to take the party and the movement forward will become her successor.
In a series of posts on social media, Mayawati said, "BSP is the party and movement established by Shri Kanshi Ram ji by sacrificing everything to take the caravan of humanistic self-respect and self-esteem of Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar to power in the country, in which selfishness, relations etc. are unimportant, that is, the interest of the Bahujan is paramount."
She said, "In the same sequence, being the disciple and successor of Shri Kanshi Ram, I will also continue the struggle by making every sacrifice till my last breath, following in his footsteps, so that the people of Bahujan Samaj can stand on their own feet by getting free from the life of political slavery and social helplessness."
The BSP supremo said, "Like Shri Kanshi Ram, any real successor of the party and movement during my lifetime can only be there if he too, like a disciple of Shri Kanshi Ram ji, till his last breath, bears every pain and suffering and works with all his heart and soul to take the party and movement forward. Along with this, it is necessary for all the big and small office bearers and workers of BSP across the country to work with full dedication and honesty towards the instructions, discipline and responsibility set by the party chief and work with full dedication, mind and money."
She said, "Along with this responsibility, especially on the strength of the cadre, along with strengthening the party organisation at the grassroots level and increasing the support base in the entire society, we have to work with full vigour in the future as well so that BSP, the only ray of hope of the Bahujan Samaj, can get the expected and awaited success."
It may be noted that last year Mayawati had declared her nephew Akash Anand as the party's successor, but after a month she expressed her intention of not making him the successor due to irresponsible statements, though later she once again declared her nephew as the successor.
