One WhatsApp number for complaints against rickshaw, taxi drivers: Maha minister

Mumbai, Mar 20 (UNI) Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik on Thursday made an appeal to the passengers to report their complaints on a WhatsApp number.
Speaking at a meeting called in connection with the strike of autorickshaw and taxi drivers in Bandra, Khar and other railway station areas of Bandra East constituency, he said that a single WhatsApp number will be displayed in the Mumbai Metropolitan Development Authority area for complaints against illegal fare, refusal of fares and abusive rickshaw-taxi and Ola-Uber drivers.
Instead of displaying the helpline number according to the regional department, a single WhatsApp number would be displayed in the entire Mumbai Metropolitan Development Authority area, and it would be widely publicised, so that passengers can make their complaints on the respective WhatsApp number, he added.
