Olympian Cheptegei returns for TCS World 10K

Bengaluru, Mar 27 (UNI) Joshua Kiprui Cheptegei, reigning world record holder in the 5000m and 10,000m, leads this year’s lineup at the 17th edition of the Tata Consultancy Services World 10K Bengaluru.
The three-time Olympian returns to Bengaluru after 11 years, having previously finished second at the TCS World 10K 2014 in his international debut. The Indian Challenge will be spearheaded by defending champions and event record holders Kiran Matre and Sanjivani Jadhav.
The World Athletics Gold Label Road Race, offering a total prize fund of USD 210,000, will take place on April 27. Embracing the spirit of 'Endendigu Bengaluru' (Forever Bengaluru), the event continues to bring together elite athletes, passionate runners, and an electric atmosphere that defines the city.
