Ollie Pope to lead England against Sri Lanka as Stokes faces injury setback

London, Aug 14 (UNI) Twenty six-year-old Ollie Pope has been appointed as England captain for the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka.
This announcement comes in the wake of Ben Stokes being ruled out for the remainder of the summer due to a hamstring injury sustained during The Hundred.
Pope, who has been a rising star in English cricket, now faces the challenge of leading his country in a crucial two-match series starting on August 21.
