Offshore Warrior secures tow of WAN HAI 503 after 3 days of Salvage Operations

Kochi, Jun 14 (UNI) In a breakthrough, Indian Salvage Tug Offshore Warrior has successfully established a tow connection with the distressed Singapore-flag vessel WAN HAI 503 on Friday night after three days of continuous salvage and firefighting operations.
The operation, closely coordinated by DG Shipping, involved the Indian Coast Guard, the Indian Navy, OSV Triton Liberty, ETV Water Lily, and salvors, with the salvage team personnel boarding the vessel by Sea King helicopter amidst challenging sea and weather conditions to manually secure the tow line.
With the tow now firmly connected, the vessel is being safely pulled away from the Indian coastline, significantly reducing the risk to coastal areas and the marine environment, a release said.
