Officers can be suspended for leaving HQ without permission: Maha Minister

Mumbai, Apr 24 (UNI) The Maharashtra Revenue Department has issued a circular warning that officers found repeatedly leaving their headquarters without prior approval will face suspension and other disciplinary actions.
The department has come down hard on officers not performing their duties in public service. This directive has been issued in coordination with the General Administration Department.
According to an official media statement issued from the office of Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Thursday, it was noticed that several subordinate officers, ranging from tehsildars to newly promoted additional collectors, to officials under the inspector general of registration and controller of stamps and officials under the director of land records, were frequently absent from headquarters without proper authorisation.

Mumbai airport to shut for six hours on Nov 20
